The Best Kids Activities from 2013
I am teaming up with a group of bloggers from the Kid Blogger Network to participate in the Best Kids activities of 2013 Blog Hop. Each of us will choose our favorite post from 2013 and share it in the linky below. Of course, being the indecisive person that I am, it was very hard to pick just one. So I am putting together a list of my favorite posts from the year…you can click on the thumbnails to see the full post!
Best Fine Motor Activities from 2013Â
The Lalymom household spent a lot of time focusing on Fine Motor Skills this year so a lot of my favorites are in that area. Our Cutting Practice Spider was SO much fun, my daughter still likes to do this months later. The Fine Motor Dashboard is still holding up and blasts off several times a week. Monster Munch is also in high rotation and my daughter knows it by name.
Best Gross Motor Activities from 2013
We DO have a lot of energy though, so some days we need to find something fun to do to get us MOVING! My 3 year old loves her obstacle courses and I think it all started with the High Five Hand Slap from our Color Red Week. We also had a lot of fun with our Easy Backyard Circus Obstacle Course and my daughter asks to play circus every time she sees the hula hoop! We left the Toddler Haunted House from our Easy Indoor Halloween Obstacle Course up for a while after the holiday had ended, my daughter loved crawling around and under the ghosts!
Best DIY Toys from 2013
Of course we DO like making toys around here. We had quite an obsession with pouch caps for a while and made a lot of fun things with them. Our Pouch Cap Bug Buddy Finger Puppets started it all. Then we got serious and just made a ton of pouch cap toys for a guest post on Frogs and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails. Then we got into shrink dinks and made this Jointed Robot.
Best Seasonal Activities from 2013
Some of my most popular posts of the year, in terms of traffic, have been related to a specific time of the year. The top post of the year was my 25 First Day of School Traditions Post. Next was our Fall Themed Cut-Punch-Paste activities and then our 25 Fine Motor Christmas Art Projects round up that was part of a HUGE collaborative fine motor round up with the Fine Motor Fridays girls.
My Favorite Post
My favorite post this year, although it is hard to pick, was the DIY Rolling Car and Truck Toys that combined shrinky dinks AND pouch caps. Good times!!
