15+ Perfect Zoom Backgrounds for the End of the School Year
As classes come to an end for the year, many teachers are setting up Class Zoom Video Chats to say goodbye, and have a good summer. One fun way to say goodbye to the kids, your classmates or your teachers is to add a Zoom Virtual Background to your video chat, and here are a whole bunch that are perfect for the End of the School year. These would work for teachers, coaches, librarians, students, parents and anyone finishing out a great school year. Have you been a bit inundated with Zoom video calls recently? My family has! A friend of mine even said it's to the point that she feels more like her kids' secretary these days, keeping up with the Zoom schedule.
Can you relate?
Well one way we have found to make Zoom meetings more fun, and to keep our kids excited about logging on, is to create fun Zoom Virtual Backgrounds.
If you'd like to create your own awesome Zoom backgrounds, head to an easy-to-use website called Canva. They have tons of awesome templates, fonts, graphics and photos. Many features are available for free but they also offer a paid version, which is what I use. You can see the Canva Free vs. Paid Plan Comparison here.
But if you just want some awesome, pre-made school themed Zoom backgrounds, you are in the right place!
What is a Zoom Virtual Background?
Zoom Virtual Background is a feature of the Zoom Video Call software that allows users to replace the view of the room behind you with an image or short video. You might have seen someone on a Zoom call magically look like they are sitting at the beach, or even on the moon. That person was using a Zoom background and it is super easy to do yourself.
So if you scroll through the images below, they are examples of fun Zoom backgrounds that you can use on your next video chat.
This is what it looks like, just as an example. This one I call a Yearbook theme since it has all the various yearbook sign-off messages.

How Do I Use Zoom Virtual Backgrounds?
Setting up a Zoom Virtual Background is very quick and easy, however not all computers or devices are capable of using them. Even if your device CAN use them, some computers do a better job than others. For example, my old iPhone cannot do them at all, our 5 year old desktop can do it, but not well, while our newer surface tablet and macbooks can do them very well.
If you do not see the Virtual Background section in the Settings of your Zoom app, this may be the case for you. You can check the Zoom System Requirements Page to see.
For anyone who is relatively familiar with technology, just log into your zoom app, go to settings and click on the Virtual Background Setting too add and select the image you want.

End of School Year Zoom Backgrounds
We have been wrapping up our distance learning in our school district, seeing the signs of the end of the school year.
Our kids have been so lucky to have weekly social Zoom Video chats with their teachers and classmates, but every school year has to end, and so will the class Zoom calls.
We made a collection of Zoom backgrounds for teachers, coaches, librarians, staff and students to say goodbye in a fun way. All images, fonts and graphics were found in Canva.
They do all have a footer with my website on it, but when used properly your body will block it. If you ever need to remember where you got your background, or if anyone asks, my website will be right there for you. Come back often, I have tons of other themes going up!
